Janis Clarke is a Sydney based artist whose studio practice is predominantly focused on painting and drawing. He has a Bachelor of Fine Art and a Master of Fine Art (Painting) from the National Art School, Sydney (2015 and 2017).

Clarke’s work has featured in multiple group and solo exhibitions and is held in several prominent collections including both the Macquarie Group and National Art School Permanent Collections. Clarke has been a finalist in the Paddington Art Prize (2020), The Glover Prize (2019), The Macquarie Group Emerging Artist Prize (2018), The Doug Moran National Portrait Prize (2015, 2016), The Rick Amor Drawing Prize (2016), The Mosman Art Prize (2015, 2016 and 2018) and Waverley Art Prize (2017).
