Luke Storrier graduated form the National Art School with a BFA, having recieved the 2013 sculpture award. Since graduating, Storrier has had his sculptures included in the Chelsea Flower Show in London, and has completed numerous commercial and private commissions; including installations for the MLC Centre, Custom's House, and Hermes' window displays.
Storrier's artistic language is full of energy and movement, derived from the brokenness in the everyday items and issues that surround us. The abstract process of wrapping, binding and wrangling a collection of detritus reveals the beauty inherent in the act of repair and gives way to an unexpected visual language. He questions the validity of the objects' original broken forms. His fascination with the process of creating a sculpture is in essance the end result; what you see is the artist describing the cathartic state of creating abstract sculpture and drawing.
