Olsen Irwin is proud to announce that it has partnered with ARTMONEY.
An initiative that gives art buyers interest free loans for artworks priced between $750 - $20,000. ARTMONEY has been given a one-off seed funding of $60,000 by the City of Sydney and has had over 25 galleries already sign up . The initiative featured in the City of Sydney's Creative City Cultural Policy and Action Plan, published in the middle of last year ? in the report the City promised to support the development of "an interest-free loans scheme to encourage the purchase of art produced by living artists from galleries and studios" in the municipality. Lord mayor Clover Moore says Sydney "has an amazing culture of creativity but, when people feel like they can't afford to participate in that culture, we have a real problem". "Buying art shouldn't be something only the very-well off can do. I really hope people will embrace this opportunity." Inspired by similar government-funded schemes in Britain and the Netherlands ARTMONEY loans are simple and applied for online. The loans are payed off in 10 equal monthly payments with the first 10% being left as a deposit. To be eligible for an ARTMONEY loan. You need to
