John Olsen | The Three Os | Manly Art Gallery and Museum

The Three O?s: Orban, Olsen and Ogburn featuring the work of John Olsen, John Ogburn and Desiderius Orban opens tonight Friday 21 March at Manly Art Gallery and Museum. With over 90 works from private collections and public institutions, including two rare Olsen tapestries, the exhibition is a must see for any Olsen admirer. Touring from Orange Regional Gallery, the Manly Art Gallery and Museum is the fourth stop for the exhibition, continuing onto Maitland Regional Art Gallery and Artspace McKay in 2014. "Curated by Emma Collerton, this touring exhibition explores the legacy of Desiderius Orban and that of two of his students, John Ogburn and John Olsen. Both later taught at Orban?s studio before blazing their own trails in Australian Art." - Manly Art Gallery and Museum The Three O?s: Orban, Olsen and Ogburn 21 March to 27 April 2014 Manly Art Gallery and Museum West Esplanade Manly NSW 2095 [caption id="attachment_2163" align="aligncenter" width="650"]JohnOlsen_Portrait1_ByDavidLoftus1 John Olsen, image courtesy David Loftus[/caption]
