Ignatia Diagmarra

Ignatia Jangarra was a member of the Kalumburu community. Located in the extreme northern aspect of the Kimberley, Kalumburu, a former Benedictine mission, was established in 1907. Ignatia and her husband, Waigan, actively produced paitnings of wanjina from the late 1970’s through the 80’s and sold them via Aboriginal Traditional Arts in Perth, Mary Macha and the Kalumburu community.
