Art can inspire us, capture our imagination or reminds us of a particular moment. Collecting art is a passion that develops over a lifetime. The great art collector Gertrude Stein is quoted as saying ?you can either buy clothes or buy pictures?. Whilst, the two should not necessarily cancel one another out, people collect art for a variety of reasons from aesthetic sentiment to financial investment. It is NEVER too early or too late to begin an art collection. What ever your budget or motives for investing in art Olsen Irwin showcases a broad spectrum of Australian and international artists that cover a wide range of prices and tastes. A great start to collecting art is to visit our Works on Paper Gallery located at 40 Queen Street Woollahra. The Gallery is a smaller space displaying small works, prints, etchings and sculptures on an intimate level. The greatest strength of the gallery is that it is designed to allows clients the chance of purchasing premier artists at entry-level prices.
