Into the Wild Sophie Cape?s visceral paintings appear fraught with the wild energy of nature and, indeed, with the extraordinary vitality of the artist and former athlete herself. Marked with broad, emotionally-charged gestures, Cape?s epic canvases utilise bones, blood and totemic objects found on her travels. Having recently been award the 2014 Portia Geach Memorial Award, Cape with exhibit her latest series at Olsen Irwin in Sydney. February 18 – March 8
