Olsen Irwin's John Olsen features in a collaborative touring exhibition 'The Three O's: Orban, Olsen & Ogburn'. The exhibition looks at over 90 works from; Desiderius Orban and two of his prior students: John Olsen and John Ogburn. The Three O's focus is on reassessing the creative paths of these prominent Australian artists, who "championed the cause of modernism in Australia" -Emma Collerton, curator. All three artists are recognized for their often radical approaches to art in the fifties and early sixties, approaches that stem from Orban's artistic mantra "Art equals creativity", and his lessons that taught his students that as an artist you are an innovator. "It's a very unique exhibition and pays homage to three incredible artists." - Emma Collerton, curator Opening at?Manly Art Gallery and Museum on 21 March 2014, The Three O's will be exhibited at a further two regional galleries in 2014.
