Rex at Turandot

Olsen Irwin Director Rex Irwin, aside from art, great passion in life is Opera. IMG_4439Rex has been a patron-sponsor of Opera Australia for the past twenty-five years. On Monday Evening Rex, complete with $5 poncho, braved the inclement weather to attended the first dress rehearsal of Opera Australia's production of Turandot. Turendot by Giacomo Puccini, is the epic death-marked love story and this years Opera on the Harbour. Opera on the Harbour sets the drama of the opera against the majesty of the Sydney Opera House and Bridge. Despite Mother Natures best attempts to ruin the dress rehearsal Rex concluded that the evening was "Drizzling but Dazzling". Turendot opens this evening and is certainly a production not to be missed. If you are planning on attending Rex recommends the following

  • Gumboots (Weather optional)
  • A Jumper/ Jacket (Harbour breezes)
  • A Cushion to sit on
  • A poncho
Tickets can be purchased through Opera Australia
