Painter Robert Malherbe has donated an artwork to the ABC Mental As? Art Auction which will conclude on the 12th of October. Tulips for M.D, an intimate still life painting of flowers, will be auctioned off along with others by high profile artists with the view to raising funds to boost mental health research in Australia. There is a short piece of footage of Robert explaining why he decided to involve himself in the project. In it he discusses the fragility of the flowers in his painting as a way of investigating different aspects of mental illness.
