Richard Morecroft has been exhibiting over the last 20 years in parallel with an often more public media-related career. His works encompass painting, photographic media and mixed media constructions, referencing biological and geological themes and exploring ambiguous landscapes as metaphors for human impact on the spaces we occupy.

His visual arts focus has also encompassed writing for arts publications, being a board member of The Bundanon Trust and conducting interviews with artists, including for the National Library of Australia.

He has been a finalist in national art competitions including the Blake Prize and the Fisher’s Ghost Prize and his work is held in various public collections, including Parliament House, Canberra.
