Aaron Crothers

Aaron’s sculptures are derived from the abstract. They play with curves, angular and architectural forms, incorporating geometry and Brutalism. With the intention of creating strong, three-dimensional objects where he explores the interaction between mass, volume, positive and negative space. Aaron primarily works in clay and timber. He was a finalist in the Emerging Art Prize in 2024, his works are held in private collections in Australia, with his commission work displayed internationally.

After graduating from the National Art School, Sydney in 1994 with a Diploma in Fine Art and Post-Graduate Technicians Certificate - A Level, Aaron has been in numerous group exhibitions. His commission works include; sculptures for Madeleine Blanchfield Architects, Cox Architects, Conybeare Morrison Architects, Memorial Headstone for Michael Hutchence and Dr Barnardo’s.
