Robert Malherbe's works are best viewed from afar, where the scoops and swirls of paint become striking nudes. Caught in their most intimate moments, Malherbe's subjects seem unaware they are being watched. One reclines stiffly, while another lies sprawled on a bed, her hand between her parted legs. Tender, expressive and deeply sexual.
